Dolores G Sosa, born March 30, 1928 in Garfield, TX, was called home to be with our Lord on April 20, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents Santos and Carmen Gonzales; husband Adolfo M. Sosa Sr.; brother Jimmy Gonzales; sister Mary Trevino; sons David, Paul, and Ray G. Sosa; grandchildren: Samuel G. Sosa, Raul G. Sosa Jr, Faith Yvette Sosa, Mariza Yvette Garcia, and Christopher Thomas Sosa. Survivors include brother, Joe Gonzales; sisters, Eva Anguiano and Andrea Covarrubias; sister-in-Law, Frances Gonzales; sons: Raul G. Sosa Sr, wife Tracy; Samuel G. Sosa; Adolfo M. Sosa Jr.; Carlos Sosa, wife Lisa; Mark G. Sosa Sr.; Noel G. Sosa & Tina; daughters, Susana Sosa, Dolores G Sosa, fiancé Daniel Marrero Jr and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She so loved her multiple Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and Great-Great-Grandchildren. Dolores will be remembered as a wonderful loving mother and matriarch of a family that will always love her immensely. Dolores was devoted to her Medical Assist Career for over 22 years and during that time she began a second career with State of Texas Highway Dept. for 10 years. After retirement she was an advocate volunteer with multiple organizations over the past years. Serving as pallbearers will be Ruben Sosa, Marcelino Martinez III, Phillip Gutierrez, Mark Sosa Jr., Joshua Gutierrez, and Arturo Alvarez. Honorary pallbearers will be Carlos Sosa Jr., Martin Alvarez, Michael Sosa, David G. Sosa Jr. and Jordon Sosa. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2017, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
