Our beloved Joe Salazar, age 61, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 20, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ramona Salazar, and his brother-in-law, Selestino Sepeda.
Joe is survived by his loving children, Joe Louis Salazar, Jr., Amy Salazar, and Robert Salazar; grandchildren, Armondo Escalante, Jr., Ana Escalante, and Ramon Escalante; sisters, Sofia Sepeda and husband, Jim, Mary Sepeda, and Janie Lopez and husband, Rodrigo; brothers, John Salazar and wife, Veronica, Jimmy Salazar and wife, Mary, and Richard Salazar; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 23, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 6:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Mission Funeral Home – East Side. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
