Antonio (Tony) Guerrero Jr., born in Maxwell, TX, was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 12, 2001 at his residence after a lengthy illness at age 79. He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Guerrero Sr. in 1993 and his mother, Juanita Cervantes in 1932. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Amelia Mata Guerrero; children, Olga Guerrero, Tony Guerrero III and wife Gloria, Grace Boesenberg and husband Henry, Joe O. Guerrero and wife Cindy, Viola Duran and husband John, Nelda Guerrero, and Rene Guerrero and fianc?e Angela Tapia; brothers, Gilbert of OH, Humberto of San Antonio, TX, John, and Arthur Guerrero; sisters Josephine Guerrero of Reedville, TX, Connie Garcia, Mary Guerrero, Arminda Gutierrez, Consuelo De Luna of San Diego, CA, ; special friends, Frank and Gene Alba, Daniel and Maria Gomez of Sanger, CA, Greg and Lucile Cano, all others of Austin. Recitation of rosary Tuesday, 7:30pm at Mission Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 10am at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Rev. Msgr. Fred Bomer will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are grandsons Tony Guerrero IV and Rene Guerrero Jr.; sons in laws, Henry Boesenberg and John Duran; Mike Trevino and Frank Alba. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons Kris and Kevin Guerrero.
