Obituary of Paul Acosta, Sr.

Our Beloved Paul Acosta Sr., age 102, of Pflugerville, Texas, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Mr. Acosta proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Francisca R. Rosales Acosta; his dear son, Paul Acosta Jr.; and his precious grandchildren, Melissa Ann Lowery, and Carlos William Caudillo, and his parents, William and Angelita Acosta.
Mr. Acosta is survived by his loving children, Mary (Jess) Martindale, Ernest Acosta, Bertha (Frank) Valadez, Mike (Matilda) Acosta, and Marie E. Acosta; his siblings, Beatrice Reyes, Virginia Ojeda, Susie Frausto, and Frank Acosta; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Honored Pallbearers will be Shaun Mendez, Robert Acosta, Chris Lowery, Paul Alvarado, Alec Guzman, Ernest Acosta, Frank Valadez, and Jess Martindale. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Acosta, Brandi Acosta, Paul Lozano, Natalie Goff, and Larry Caudillo.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the nursing staff, CAs, and therapist at Legends Oaks Rehab Center on Dessau Road. They were considerate, helpful, and very compassionate in their care of our father. Linda, Irene, Selena, Jen, Mary, and Rachel were exceptional in their care and we are eternally grateful. May God bless and keep each of you and your families.
Visitation will be Monday, March 20, 2017, at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First Street, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 9th St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Oblate Missionary.
