Our Beloved Ashlie Nicole Esquitin, age 23, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 1, 2017. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Eduardo Esquitin, her cousin, Kristen Esquitin, and her great-grandfathers, Pete R. Moreno, and Joe Torres Sr. Ashlie is survived by her loving parents, Melissa Moreno, and her husband, Marcus Hampton, and Joseph Esquitin, and his wife, Cortney; her brother, Tyson Hampton; her step-brother, Baxter Brewer; her grandparents, Ernest and Rebecca Moreno, and Elmer and Esther Ebanks; as well as an enormous amount of loving family and friends. Ashlie Nicole Esquitin was born to Joseph Esquitin, and Melissa Moreno, on June 7, 1993, in Austin, Texas. With her beautiful smile, her jokes, and her amazing generosity, Ashlie brought so much joy to others throughout her life. Ashlie never wavered in her strength and faith. Throughout her journey, she continuously overcame obstacles and setbacks, and she always remained steadfast that she was in God's hands. Ashlie was celebrated for her kindness and loving spirit, as well as her witty sense of humor. She had a gift for making others smile, especially when they heard her one of a kind laugh. She will always be remembered for seeking to make others laugh through her silliness and jokes. She made all people, family and strangers alike, feel welcome and appreciated. If anyone needed a good laugh, or to feel the comfort of a friendly smile, Ashlie was always there. Most importantly, Ashlie was the greatest optimist...she found the good in everything, and in everyone. Ashlie inspired so many through her faith, and her physical and mental strength, and her miraculous commitment to never giving up. Throughout her challenges, she was able to connect with so many people through her art. She had a tremendous ability to express her feelings and emotions through her paintings, even at a very young age. Her paintings showed her larger than life personality, in a way that words could never convey. Ashlie used to say that her art was her outlet. This was absolutely true...and the world is better for it. Her artwork remains as a connection to her beauty, her humor, and her faith. For her, her artwork was a way to show that she understood God was always on her side. The paintings symbolize another beautiful creation that the world and God have to offer. Ashlie was God's beautiful creation. Ashlie was our beautiful creation...she will forever be. Thank you to all of the family, friends, co-workers, and medical staff, who helped us, cried with us, supported us, and most importantly, prayed for us during these last five years.
