Our Beloved Gabriel C. Rodriguez, age 73, of Buda, Texas, was called home by our Heavenly Father, on Friday, December 16, 2016. Our dad, “Gabe the Barber” was known for his trade by generations of families for over 50 years and he was very proud of that. Dad, in his Stacey Adam's signature style loved being behind the Barber chair telling jokes and his many, many stories. Dad is also known for his faith in God and loved attending service and would get there by any means. Dad always had the Bible close by him and even in the end, the Bible was near him. Dad greatly loved his family and would do anything in his power to go out of his way to help you. Dad cherished his longtime friends and acquaintances. Dad will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Esther Ramirez; his parents, Dennies and Cecilia Rodriguez; and his brother and sister, Andrew Rodriguez, and Dolores Fernandez. Gabriel is survived by his loving children, MaryLou Ochoa, Cecilia Mendoza, Gabriel Rodriguez Jr., Adella Rodriguez, and her husband, Raul Valadez, and son-in-law, Ernest Ramirez; his brothers and sisters, Gilbert Rodriguez, Julia Lopez, Ester Acosta, Lupe Gregory, Lucy Villarreal, Rudy Rodriguez, Margaret Mercado, and Norma Rendon; his precious grandchildren, Gavin Morris, Jennifer Ochoa, Christianna Mendoza, Lorenzo Mendoza, Raul Valadez, Liana Valadez, and Caleb Valadez; his beloved great-grandchildren, Jessalyn Ochoa, Xavier Ochoa, Cecilio Fabian, Jeramiah Lopez, and Gabriella Lopez; as well as numerous other loving family and friends. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016.
