Our Beloved Valentina Ojeda Medina, age 83, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 1, 2016 in Austin, Texas. Valentina was born on February 14, 1933 in Lytton Springs, Texas, to Gregorio and Pablina Montoya Ojeda. Valentina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Serapio "Lapo" Medina; her parents, Gregorio and Pablina Ojeda; her sisters, Anita, Maria, Teodoro, Victoria, Apolina, Epifana and Castula; her brothers, Manuel, Juan, Domingo and Louis; and 5 grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Juan (Fran) Medina, Mary (Victor) Montez, Liz (Andrew) Ybarra, Janie (Robert) Ramirez, Sandy (Samuel) Contreras, Mary Esther (Ysidro) Lucio, and Alice (Peter) Ruedas; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-9:00pm, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00pm, on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00am, on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Dolores Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery in Mendoza, Texas.
