Obituary
Obituary of Pauline Rodriguez Martinez
Please share a memory of Pauline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our Beloved Pauline Rodriguez Martinez, age 68, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in Austin, Texas. She passed away at home, with her family by her side. Pauline was born on June 7, 1948 in Kyle, Texas.
Her greatest joy was her family and watching them grow alongside her husband, Robert. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pauline was always willing to lend a helping hand, even after she was diagnosed with Cancer. She remained a dedicated woman of God at San Jose Catholic Church and was strengthened by her faith in her will to fight her illness before becoming an angel. She will always be remembered as Santa Claus for the CWV Post 1805 and Elmcroft Nursing Home, "the fish pond lady," the thrift store shopper, and the red-lipped glamourous grandma.
Pauline was preceded in death by her father Casemiro Rodriguez and her siblings: Andrea Selvera, Antonia Rodriguez, and Edward “Lalo” Rodriguez; and grandchildren: Arthur Martinez Jr., Mariah Martinez, and Emily Martinez.
She is survived by her mother, Sipriana Rodriguez; her beloved husband of 49 years, Robert Martinez Sr.; sons: Robert Martinez Jr., Arthur Martinez Sr., and Miguel Antonio Martinez; siblings and their spouses: Benny Rodriguez, Maria Rangel, Lupe Alba, Elida Deleon, Felipa Castro, Casemiro Rodriguez Jr., Robert Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Tommy Rodriguez, Rosemary Varela, Margaret Zamora, Susie Rodriguez, Peter Rodriguez, Patricia Rodriguez, and Becky Rodriguez; grandchildren: Andrene, Alexandria, Alexis, Alyssa, Gabriella, Marissa, Jeremy, Jonathan and Brianna Martinez; great grandchildren: Robert Nicholas Martinez, Jasiv Hendrix Santana, Gianna Ozara Rivera, and Cameron Pauline Huerra; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
