Our Beloved Lucy L. Mendoza, age 82, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 24, 2016. She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Guzman Aros and her daughter, Terri Mendoza Portillo.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Zeferino L. Mendoza; her daughters, Christine Mendoza Salinas and husband, Joe, and Bekki Mendoza Torres and husband, Rey; 10 grandchildren, Joe M. Salinas, Jerald James Salinas and fiancé, Marc, Erik Salinas, Brandon Salinas and Elly, Luis Torres, P.J. Romero, Angel Martinez, Michael Martinez Torres, Phillip Portillo, and Aimee Portillo; four great-grandchildren, Adelina Salinas, Eusebio Salinas, Gracie Salinas, and Mateo Salinas; other loving family and friends.
Honored Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joe M. Salinas, Jerald James Salinas, Erik Salinas, Brandon Salinas, Phillip Portillo, PJ Romero, Luis Torres, and Michael Martinez Torres.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
