Our beloved Richard Cortez Padilla, age 59, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 16, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ernesto and Guadalupe Padilla; his brother, Ernesto Padilla, Jr. and sister, Virginia Ledesma.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mary Trujillo Padilla; his children, Annette Rodriguez and husband, Manuel, Crystal Padilla, Ricardo “Rick” Padilla, Jr. and wife, Louise, John Michael Padilla and wife, Amy, and Mario Padilla and wife, Juana; his brother, Robert Padilla; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 11:30 a.m., St. Julia Catholic Church, Tillery St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
