Mr. Pasqual Beza Jr., age 90, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 3, 2001. The Beza family, originally from Eagle Pass, TX and of the Nueva Rosita, MX area, came to farming communities east of Austin in the early 1900?s. Prior to and after WWII, family members migrated into Austin and Pasqual worked a variety of labor jobs including several years at Packard Auto dealership. Pasqual married Guadalupe Cruz of Hunters Bend farming community in 1939. During WWII he served honorably in the US Navy and later worked for many years at the C.B.S. Smith Motors Plymouth Dealership, where lasting friendships were made. Most of the Beza family moved to California after WWII. Pasqual worked for the Texas Parks and Wild Life Dept. in the maintenance dept. of which he often spoke of special friendships. He retired in 1976. Survivors include beloved wife of 62 years, Guadalupe C. Beza of Austin and son, Alfred Beza of San Antonio; sister, Maria Luisa Pi?a of Sunnyside, WA. His father, Pasqual Beza Sr., who was buried in the Hornsby Cemeterio Mexicano in, preceded Mr. Beza in death. Also deceased are brothers Fermin and Martin Beza as well as sisters, Luisa B. Pecina, Ysidra B. Reyes, and Carmen B. Espinoza. He was buried at Assumption Cemetery Friday, April 06, 2001. His pallbearers were Gomecindo Beza of Fresno, CA, Jose Espinoza, Tomas Resendez Jr., John Cruz, Javier Paz, all of Austin, and Tony Reyes of San Antonio, TX.
