Our Beloved Rafael Charles Lafitte, age 90, resident of Austin, Texas was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 16, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Maria Luisa Lafitte, his great-granddaughter, Clarissa Reyna, four sisters, and one brother. Mr. Lafitte is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Concepcion Lafitte; his sons, Carlos Lafitte, Sr. and wife, Veronica; Alfredo Lafitte and wife, Yolanda, and Victor Lafitte and fiance, Irma Gomez; three grandchildren, Carlos Lafitte, Jr.; Monica Johns and husband, Jeff, and Brandy Lafitte; seven great-grandchildren, Carmine Lafitte, Annalyssia Dominguez, Daniela Dominguez, LeAnn Dominguez, Jonathon Reyna, Desirae Martinez, and Delilah Martinez; six great-great-grandchildren, Jayden Ellison, Camron Datrice, Jon David, Lorenzo Mendoza, Leila Hernandez, and Jayda Hernandez; his sister, Xiomara Lafitte, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice, Central Texas Medical Center, Regent Care and Nursing Facility in San Marcos, and Seton Hospital in Kyle for their exceptional compassion and care of our father. May God bless and keep each of you. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 with a Prayer Service being held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
