Our beloved Santos “Santana” Rodriguez, Sr. age 75, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 22, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Thomas Rodriguez Sr. and Mary Ester Espinoza; his children, Richard Rodriguez and Santos Rodriguez, Jr.; and his brothers, Ezequiel Rodriguez, Daniel Espinoza, and Pete Espinoza. Santana is survived by his loving children, Gilbert Rodriguez and wife, Diana, Eva Godinez and husband, Joe, Margie Rodriguez and husband, Jose Noe Martinez, Mary Helen Gonzalez and husband, Alex Gomez, Irene Balderas and husband, Leoncio, Steve Rodriguez, and Sheila Rodriguez; his brothers and sisters, Thomas Rodriguez, Vicente Rodriguez, Larry Espinoza, Raymond Espinoza, Carolina Rodriguez, Mary Arispe, and Juana Carillo; 25 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. “To my Father: I would like to say farewell, you will be gone but never forgotten! I’m sorry that I couldn’t be there for you in your time of need. I love you and will surely miss you, but you are in a better place now! A place with no sorrow or pain, but only happiness! You are now back with your two sons, Ricky and Gallo, who I know were waiting for you! Even though you are gone, Dad, I will always keep you close, for you are forever in my heart! I love you, Dad; so until that day comes, may you and my brothers hold my place for until that day comes. I will not shed no more tears for you and my brothers, because life must come full circle, but I will celebrate your memory. I love you, Dad; may you Rest in Peace!"
