Our beloved Alejandro “Alex” Colunga, age 81, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 6, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Adelita Martinez; his parents, Manuel Colunga and Petra Ybarra; his brothers Jesse Colunga, Antonio Colunga, and Albert Colunga; his sister, Juanita Sepeda; and his brother-in-law, Pablo Segura.
Alex is survived by his companion, Dora; his children, Yolanda (Daniel) Sanchez, Cecilia Colunga, Sylvia Bustos, and Christina Colunga; his sister, Sara Segura; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
