Our beloved Virginia Ponce Estrada, age 66, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, July 29, 2016. Mrs. Estrada was preceded in death by her loving husband, Julian Estrada; her parents, Aurelio and Anita Ponce, Sr.; her daughter, Pauline Estrada; and her siblings, Esther Ponce Andrews, Clemente Ponce, and Connie Galvan. She is survived by her loving children, Daniel Ponce Estrada and Linda Estrada and her husband, Gilbert Gonzales; her beautiful grandchildren, Cynthia Marie Gonzales and her husband, Alan Dodson, Gilbert Julian Gonzales, Jr., and Jacob Christopher Gonzales; her brothers and sisters, John Ponce, Earl Ponce and his wife, Florine, Tino Ponce, Ida Hernandez and her husband, Joseph, Mary Vasquez and her husband, Richard; and Janie Villalpando; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Her strength and love will be with us always. God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arm around her and whispered, come with me. With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home (East), 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, 10:00 a.m., Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
