Our beloved Guadalupe “Sonny” Laguna III, age 63, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 23, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Frances Mendez Laguna, Jr. and his aunt, and uncles, Molly M. Mercardo, Paul Mendez, Martin Mendez, Joe Mendez, and Manuel Aguallo. Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Leta Laguna; his sons, Jason Laguna and his wife, Naomi, and Shane Robert Laguna; three grandchildren, Kayla Dawn Laguna, Jenae Taylor Laguna, and Grace Alexandria Laguna; his sister, Cindy Dally and her husband, William; his niece, Laura Dally Stowe and her husband, Nathan Stowe; his aunts and uncle, Frances Laguna Aguallo, Mary M. Ramirez, Julia M. Valldares, and Annie M. Alvarado and her husband, Joe; Numerous other loving family members and friends. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 8:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Eulogies will begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday. Speakers will be Union Iron Workers, friends, and family.
