Our beloved Rebecca Saldaña, age 74, resident of Austin was called home by our Heavenly Father on Monday, July 11, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cruz and Rebecca Santa Ana; her sons, Ernest, Johnny, and Bobby Saldaña; her sisters, Ofelia Garcia, Frances Arispe, and Elida Santa Ana Silva; and her brothers, Esais Santa Ana, Ismael Santa Ana, Cruz Santa Ana, Jr., and Marin Santa Ana. Rebecca is survived by her husband of 60 years, Daniel Saldaña; her children, Daniel Saldaña, Jr., Denise (Jose) Guerrero, Mary (Eric) Bounds, Juanita (Erasmo) Garza, Cruz Saldaña, David Saldaña, Andrew Saldaña, Mark (Cody) Saldaña, and John Anthony Saldaña; her brothers, Ruben (Cruz) Santa Ana, Peter (Rosa) Santa Ana, and Noe Santa Ana; 31 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The Saldaña family wishes to thank the Riverside Nursing and Rehab facility staff, the Satellite Dialysis Clinic, and all the doctors, nurses, and physical therapists (too numerous to name) who took compassionate care of Mrs. Saldaña during her illness these past several years. May God bless each of them and their family. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 with a Prayer Service being held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home (East), 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas. Additional visitation will begin Saturday, 9:00 a.m., at the funeral home followed by a procession to Emmanuel United Methodist Church (200 Brushy St.) for a Funeral Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
