Our beloved Ramona Hernandez, age 94, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeronimo and Emilia Hernandez; her brothers, Joe, Jesse, and Salvador Hernandez; her sister, Nellie Garcia; and her nephew, Ricky Hernandez.
Although Ramona did not have children of her own, her motherly love raised her niece and nephews, Monica Hernandez and her husband, Michael Ortega; Rudy Hernandez; Danny Hernandez; and Joe Hernandez and his wife, Karen. In addition she had many other nieces and nephews she adored, other family, and a long line of friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Ray Ortega, Rudy Hernandez, Raymond Govea, Joshua Hernandez, Joe Hernandez, Jr., and Bill Huck. Honorary Pallbearers will be Albert Ledesma.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, 10:00 a.m., San Jose Catholic Church, Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
