Our beloved Ernestine Ruiz, age 65, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, June 24, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fortunato and Melilia Pena; her daughter, Shannon Lee Ruiz; her sister, Elida Del Toro; and brother, George Pena.
Mrs. Ruiz is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Pastor Eli Ruiz (ret); her daughters, Amy Lugo and her husband, Richard, and Sherri McClure and her husband, James; six grandchildren, Aaron and Jonathan Lugo, Joshua, Jordan, and Ethan Nieman, and Troy McClure; her sisters Oralia Ruiz and her husband, Joel, and Norma Tatum and her husband, James; her brother, Santos “Bob” Pena; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 6:30 p.m., Monday, June 27 with a Prayer Service held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., Mission Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
