Our beloved Margaret Jean Sparks, age 87, resident of Austin and Corpus Christi was born December 17, 1928 in Port Arthur Ontario, Canada. She passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olaf and Mary Orseth. She is survived by her loving children, Corey Sparks, Lisa Sparks, Kelly and Nathan Miller, Lani and Chris Miller; four grandchildren, Heather Sparks, Nathan Thomas, Samantha Sparks, and Shane Compton and five great grandsons; other family and friends. Margaret was a long time civilian employee at the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas. Once retired, she moved to Austin. She lived a long fulfilled life being born in Canada and becoming an American Citizen shortly after she moved to the United States. In her younger years she liked fashion, going out to dance and roller skate with friends, and traveling. She has lived in Honolulu, Hawaii, Oakland and Laguna Beach, California, but above all, she loved her living in Los Angeles. Margaret was an avid reader and loved a good mystery novel.
