Our beloved Victoria Valdez Castro, age 84, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 26, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Tomas Castro, Jr.; her grandson, Thomas Mejia; her parents, Santiago and Petra Valdez; and her siblings, Francisco Valdez, Benita Martinez, and Jovita Valdez.
She is survived by her children, Santiago Castro and family, Olga and Raymond Salazar and family, Gloria Castro and family, Daniel and Rosa Castro and family, Tommy and Rosie Castro and family, and Lorena and David Galvan and family; her brother, Polo Valdez; her sister, Maria Cristan; 20 beautiful grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 30, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home (East), 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery St., Austin, Texas. There will be additional visitation at Mission Funeral Home Tuesday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m.
