Our beloved Manuela R. Zapata, age 70, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, May 16, 2016. She passed away surrounded by family and love.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rufino Zapata, and her parents, Stephen Rocha and Carmen Torres Rocha and several brothers and sisters
Manuela is survived by her beloved children, Rufino (Riya) Zapata, Jesse (Pamela) Zapata, Chavela Zapata, and Eddie (Juju) Zapata; two grandchildren, Phillip Andrew and Kaitlin Christine Zapata; her sisters, Adela Rocha Colwell and Amelia Rocha; brothers, Lee Rocha and Steve (Esteban) Rocha; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 6:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
