Our beloved Jimmy Pineda, age 81, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 8, 2016. Mr. Pineda proudly served our county in both the Navy and the Army; retiring from the Army. We thank him greatly for his service. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Manuel and Julia Pineda; his sisters, Dora Luna and Annie Perez; and his brother Manuel Pineda, Jr. Jimmy is survived by his loving daughter, Julia (Steve) Martinez; his sons, Edward and Jimmy Boy Pineda; his sisters, Dolores Aleman and Mary Castillo; 20 grandchildren; Godson, Nicolas Nava, his step-children, Ana Flores, Diana Lugo, Alfonso Paniagua, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Pallbearers will be Steve Martinez, Daniel Trejo, T.J. Castruita, Rudy Castruita, Paul Eric Contreras, Michael Contreras, Ernest Gonzales, and Hiram Mendez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Elijah Anderson and Steve Martinez, Jr. Following Recitation of Holy Rosary, Nicolas Nava will be officiating the eulogies. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12 with Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
