Obituary of Larry Dean Hardin
Please share a memory of Larry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Larry D. Hardin, 80, passed away peacefully the evening of April 12th, 2016, at Seton Hospital in Kyle, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Larry is survived by his brother, Al Hardin, and his wife, Judy; his children, Ricky Hardin and wife Suzanne of Buda, Texas, Darlene Hardin Condren and husband, Freddy of Lubbock, Texas, and Shirley Hardin of Kyle, Texas. He was also blessed with three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Larry Dean Hardin was born in Lubbock, Texas, on September 28, 1935. In High School, he was a member of the Rotary Club and President of the Band Club. He attended Texas Tech University, where he met the love of his life, Rebecca Marie Willis. Larry and Rebecca were married for 56 blessed years before Rebecca passed away in 2013. Larry serviced in the military early in life, playing the saxophone, bass fiddle, and clarinet in the 289th Army band. In his life, Larry was a jack-of-all-trades, excelling in any field he attempted. He was also known to be razor-sharp when it came to all things attempted and never failed to impress. Larry and Becky were always mentioned in the same breath, as they were the true definition of a team. After raising a beautiful family, the couple spent 10 years traveling around the country. They would leave no stone un-turned, especially when it came to their mutual love of golf. They became members of numerous golf courses, making plenty of friends along the way. Whenever anyone talks about Larry Hardin, they always mention his kind heart. He constantly wore a warm smile throughout life and always gave his time and effort to those who needed it. If there is any solace to Larry’s passing, it is that he can now continue to share his warm smile and time with the love of his life, Becky, for the rest of time.
