Our beloved Rachel Yolanda Arriaga, age 65, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Louis Sr. and Ruth Arriaga; and her sisters, Irena Arriaga. Rachel is survived by her loving sisters and brothers, Mary Rebollar and her husband, Gabriel, Theresa Pena and her husband, Maurice, Abel Arriaga and his wife, Patricia, Louis Arriaga, Jr., Victor Arriaga and his wife, Barbara, and Johnny Arriaga; numerous adoring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rachel was loved by all and was a blessing to everyone who had the chance to meet her. She had a kind-hearted soul filled with enough love to go around the world a dozen times. We would like to offer a special thank you to Maria Acampo, who lovingly cared for Rachel for over six years. Pallbearers will be Tressa Arriaga, Nina Snider, Michael Gonzalez, Tony Gonzalez, Gabriel Rebollar, Jr., Jacob Arriaga, Louis Edward Arriaga and Joshua Escobedo. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephew, Corina, Veronica, Esther, Valerie, Analicia, Samantha, Jennifer, Casey, Marissa, and Israel. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 9th and Lydia, Austin. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
