Our beloved Reymundo “Ray” Sanchez, age 79, and his beloved wife, Augustina U. Sanchez, age 76, residents of Austin were called by our Heavenly Father within two days of each other, Augustina on Friday, March 25, 2016 and Ray on Sunday, March 27, 2016 Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Reymundo and Jesusita Sanchez, brother, Dan Sanchez and his sister, Mary Martinez. Augustina was preceded in death by her parents, Audencio and Dominga Urtado, and two brothers. They are survived by their beloved children, Karen Sanchez Cerda, Stephanie Sanchez Haehn and her husband, George, Ray Sanchez; five grandchildren, Lysette Cerda, Iliana Cerda, Andres Cerda III, Bella Haehn and Jacob Haehn, and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Honored Pallbearers for Ray will be Joe Perez, Paul Davila, Roland Martinez, Andres Cerda, and Willie Rodriguez. Honored Pallbearers for Augustina will be Robert Gomez, Carlos Sergio Lujan, Andres Martinez, George Flores, Michael Urtado, and Roger Urtado. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, 9:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 126 W. Oltorf St., Austin. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
