Our beloved Mary Alice Vargas Vaughan, age 68, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, February 26, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Serapio Sr. and Mercedes Vargas, and her brother, Eloy Vargas. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Vernon Vaughan; son, Donald James Gibbs; brothers, Elias Vargas, Azarias Vargas, Serapio Vargas Jr.;sister, Carolina Kracheni; nieces, Becky Long and her husband Lee; Karima Kracheni and Faiza Kracheni; great-niece, Brianna; great-nephew, Dominic, and life time friends, Licha, Pam, Jane Sylvia and Sylva. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First Street.
