Our beloved Georgia C. Martinez, age 88, resident of Austin and Houston was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 plus years, Alejandro F. Martinez; her parents, Leandro and Concepcion Aguiana Cuevas; and her brothers, Merced Cuevas, Jose Cuevas, Leonardo Lee Cuevas, and Andrew Cuevas. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her beloved children, Gloria “Missy” Martinez and Gilbert Martinez and his wife, Margie; her grandchildren, Mathew and Stefanie Martinez; and her nieces and nephew, Teresa Estrada and her husband, Frank, Louis Cuevas and his wife, Rita, Janie Gomez and her husband, Joe David Martinez, and Lupe Casarez; numerous great nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Michael Chang, care providers, Paulette, Ree, and Pinky with Andrew's Angels, and Rose of Texas Hospice for the excellent care provided to Mrs. Martinez. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
