Alicia Serrano Zamarripa
April 22, 1942 to March 1, 2016
Our beloved Alicia Serrano Zamarripa, age 73, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on, Tuesday, March 1, 2016.
Alicia was a strong and independent woman. She is remembered for the unconditional love and devotion she bestowed on her family and friends. She loved to dance, sing and go to the movies. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. An amazing woman that was loved by many.
She is preceded in death by her parents Victor and Jesusa Serrano; grandson Edward III (Baby Eddie); siblings Maria, Benita, Johnny, and Brigido.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Jesse G. Zamarripa; children Kilan Zamarripa (David Pluchinsky), Zarla Zamarripa (Aaron Witkowski), Mary Alice Ybarra, Gloria Mueller, Felix Ybarra, and Louis Ybarra (Melva); 17 grandchildren Austin Jesse, Zaria, Brandi, Alexis, Paul, Selena, Sabrina, Eli, Joseph, Ashley, Crystal, Felix Jr. Felicia, Zion, Yvonne, Alyssa, and Michael Louis; 25 great-grandchildren Madeline, Bradin, Peyton, Elizabeth, Edward, Leeana, Phoenix, Layla, Mia, Andrew Jr., Jesus III, Emilio, Dezmarie, Aiden, Brooklyn, Carmelo, Nicholas, Kayden, Caidence, Layla, Elizabeth, Belinda, Genevieve, Aria, and Jonah; siblings Pabla, Victor Jr., Ernest, and Benito; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Benito Serrano, Ernest Serrano, Aaron Witkowski, Paul Krauser, Eli Villasana, and Michael Louis Ybarra.
Visitation will be held at 12:00p.m., with Recitation of Holy Rosary to follow at 6:00p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street (South). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00a.m. Monday, March 7, 2016, Cristo Rey Catholic Church 2208 East Second Street. Entombment to follow at Assumption Mausoleum.
