Our beloved Juan Mendez, age 81, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, February 15, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Crecencia Mendez. He is survived by his loving wife, Olga Mendez; seven children; 10 step-children; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Steve Albert Castro, Sam Castro, Jr., Ronnie Machado, Adam Saucedo, Javier Zavala, and Ernest Vargas.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2016 with a Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Mission Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
