Our beloved Melvin D. Tucker Sr., age 73, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, February 5, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Esther Tucker; and his brothers, James Tucker and Larry Tucker.
He is survived by his children, Melvin D. Tucker Jr., Michael D. Tucker (Kim), Mark D. Tucker (Carla), Marvin D. Tucker (Monica), and Tonita Tucker-Touchstone (Jack); stepson, Garyson Walker; grandchildren, Michelle D. Tucker, Sierra B. Tucker, Jackson Tucker, Justice Tucker, Maurice D. Tucker, Alysa R. Tucker, Briana C. Touchstone, Joshua E. D. Touchstone, and Brandon D. E. Touchstone, Rukiyah Walker, Aiyanah Walker; great grandchildren, Mileek Tucker and Damion Tucker; siblings John Tucker Jr., Esther Tucker, and Ronald Tucker; Margarita Compton, and the Compton family, Albert J. Compton, John M. Compton, Rosa M. Onelangsy, Joe S. Compton; mothers of his children, Tecora S. Wright and Margaret Tucker; and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m., with Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 1206 E. Ninth Street. This will conclude services for Melvin Douglas Tucker Sr.
