Our beloved Amparo Siever, age 96, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Mrs. Siever was a school teacher for many years in Mexico, teaching 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl L. Siever; her parents, Anselmo and Antonia Garza; and 15 brothers and sisters. Amparo is survived by her son, Carl Siever and his wife, Catherine, and her daughter, Frances Purdy, and her husband, Mason; her Godson, Roberto Montiel and his wife, Maria Antonieta; five grandchildren, Katherine, Adriane, and Phillip Purdy and Amy and Carl Anthony Siever; one great-grandchild, Kylie Wood. The Siever family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Pete Garcia for his many years of dedicated care to Mrs. Siever. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2016 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at the Funeral Home. The Prayer Service and Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Nestor of Principe de Paz Church.
