Our beloved Pete Rodriguez, age 76, resident of Austin and was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Pete was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Louis. He is survived by his children, Annette Rodriguez, Ruben Rodriguez, and Albert Rodriguez; six grandchildren, Anthony Torres and his wife, Lupe, Krystal Rodriguez and her husband, Santiago, Krystopher Torres, Jonathan Torres, Ruben Rodriguez II, and Kalyssa Rodriguez and four great-granchildren, Jeremiah Torres, Junior Rodriguez, Alexa Torres, and Kasadi Rodriguez, other family members and friends. He worked 25 years with the City of Austin in the Parks and Recreation Department. Honorary Pallbearers will be George Castillo, Moses Ybarra, Omar Quintanilla, Ruben Rodriguez II, Jeremiah Torres, and Junior Rodriguez. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 15 with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at Mission Funeral Home. Services will conclude following the Funeral Service.
