Our beloved Martina R. Alvarado, age 92, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, January 11, 2016. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Julian Alvarado, her children, Martha Gonzales and Julian Alvarado, her parents, Anastacio and Herlinda Ramirez, her sister, Nicolasa Gonzales and brother, Frank Ramirez. She is survived by her children, Margaret Reyna, Arthur “Art” Alvarado and his wife, Irene, Mary Jane Guerrero and her husband, Nato, and John Gonzales; her brothers and sisters, Nancy Castillon and her husband, Ted, Julia Garza, Margie Moreno, Richard Ramirez and his wife, Teburia, TC Ramirez and his wife, Ruth, and Sisto Ramirez and his wife, Irene; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016 with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery St. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
