Luisa Ortunio-Cervantes resident of San Marcos, passed away peacefully at home with loving family surrounding and her spirit received in the hands of our Heavenly Father on December 27, 2015 at the age of 85. Born August 19, 1930 in Kyle, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is preceded in death by her loving daughter: Terry Ortunio, parents: Hilario and Refugia Ortunio, and brothers: Ernesto and Agapito Ortunio. Luisa was a strong woman and a dear and caring friend to all who knew her. She would take her time aside to spend it playing BINGO with her friends at the senior citizen center. Her special times are with the family, especially with the grand and great grandchildren. We will not forget those special and fun times with the family. They will be cherished and your legacy will continue through us. "Love you forever." Survivors are her loving daughter: Martha "Marty" Zavala, brother: Raymond Ortunio, sister: Benita Flores & husband Santos, all of San Marcos, grandsons: Ralph Zavala & wife Clarinda, Paul Zavala & wife Adrianna, Sergio Zavala, great grandchildren: Elena, Micah, Isiah, and Jared Zavala, and nephew: Abraham Serrato. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Los Angeles Funeral Home at 300 Cheatham Street with recitation of Rosary will be Wednesday evening at 7:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday morning at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Victor Mayorga will officiate. Interment to follow in San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas. Serving as Pallbearers: immediate family and friends.
