Our beloved Santos “Sandy” G. Ruiz, age 95, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ezequiel G. Ruiz, her mother and father, Luisa and Edio Guerrero; her brothers, Guadalupe and Juan Guerrero; and her sister, Dominga Celedon. She is survived by her son Felix Aguirre, Jr. (Susana); daughters Herlinda A. Herrera (Ernest, Sr., deceased), Alicia A. Ranzau (Clarence), Dolores A. Rodriguez (Ray Benavides), and Barbara R. Tejero (Jorge, Sr., deceased); 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 9 great- great-grandchildren. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to our sister, Barbara Tejero and her children, Jorge, Elizabeth, and Tomas for the loving care provided to our mother. We wish to also thank Hospice Austin and Dr. Pete Garcia, M.D. for their excellent care, compassion, and support. Guitarist for services will be George Mercado, Jr. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2015 with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, E. 2nd St. and Robert T. Martinez. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
