Our beloved Raul Martinez, Sr., age 86, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.
Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Maria Q. Martinez, his mother and father, Gil and Virginia and children, Raul, Jr., Jose Rene, Felipe De Jesus, Richard, and grandson, Miguel A. Delgado.
Mr. Martinez is survived by his loving children, Oralia (Antonio) M. Delgado, Juan (Cathie), Armando (Gloria), and Cynthia. Brothers and sisters, Julian, Gil, Jr., Paula Zapata, Carmen Garcia, and Virginia “Vicky” Rodriquez; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mr. Martinez’ longtime companion, Leonor Garcia and close friend, Joann Escamilla.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2015 with recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home Heritage Chapel, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street (East).
Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Saturday at San Francisco Catholic Church, 9110 Hwy 183, Austin, Texas . Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery
