Our beloved Dalia G. Diaz, age 84, resident of Austin and Kingsville, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 30, 2015. Mrs. Diaz was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, David Diaz, 20 brothers and sisters, and one grandchild, David Justin Diaz. She leaves to mourn her passing six children, Sylvia Diaz, Elena Diaz De La Cruz, Alicia Diaz, David (Christie) Diaz, Jr., Dalia Diaz, and Daniel (Benita) Diaz, four grandchildren, Jacob Daniel, Daniel David, Jade Nicole, and Lisa Catherine, and one great-grandchild, Rory Shae Diaz. Prior to moving to Austin, Dalia and her husband, David, were owners of Diaz Mobil Service Station, a full service station in Kingsville and were dairy farmers supplying Hygeia. Mrs. Diaz worked 20 years as a Teacher’s Aid/Job Coach for Kingsville ISD in the Special Education Program. The family would like to offer a special thanks to care providers Elena Diaz, Alicia Diaz, Dalia Diaz, and Emma Johnson, whose love and support are greatly appreciated. Austin visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2015 with recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., officiated by Deacon Roy Gomez, Mission Funeral Home Heritage Chapel, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street (East). Kingsville visitation will begin 9:00 a.m., Sunday, May 3, 2015 with recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, 230 E. Ella, Kingsville. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 4, 2015 at St. Martin Catholic Church, 715 N. Eighth St., Kingsville. Interment will follow at Kingsville Rest Haven Cemetery
