Our beloved Robert Martinez Delgado, age 88, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 26, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Lillia Soriano Delgado, son, John Garza, and his parents, Juan and Guadalupe Delgado.
Mr. Delgado survived by his son Robert “Love” (Connie) Briones, sisters, Pat (John) Medina, John Manuel (Sally) Delgado, David (Frances) Delgado, Guadalupe Thompson and many numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Delgado created custom boots at Rowells on Lavaca prior to taking over his father’s business, JC Shoe Service, on Burnet and North Loop. Mr. Delgado was a well-respected member of the community and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29, 2015 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.., at Mission Funeral Home Heritage Chapel, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez Street (East).
Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Mission Funeral Home, officiated by Ruben Garcia of Betania Baptist Church.
