Obituary of Frances S. Cuevas

Our beloved Frances S. Cuevas, age 85, resident of Austin Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on January 8, 2015.
Frances retired from the Austin Independent School District after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Leonardo Cuevas, son John Cuevas, parents Juan and Louisa Saucedo, brother Pete Saucedo and sister Janie Nava.
Survivors include: beloved children Teresa Estrada (Frank), Janie Gomez (Joe David Martinez), Louis L. Cuevas (Rita), Guadalupe Casarez and sisters Mary Moreno and Lupe Acosta. She will be greatly missed by her 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her beloved dog "Louie".
Visitation will begin 3:00 pm, Sunday, January 11, 2015 with rosary at 6:00 pm by the Joy Group from Holy Family American Catholic Church, held at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 am at Holy Family American Catholic Church, 8613 Lava Hill Road, Austin. Father Jayme Mathias will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Escort from Mission Funeral Home to the church and cemetery will be provided.
The Cuevas family extends their gratitude to our extended family for their love and prayers given to our beloved mother during her illness as well as to Father Jayme Mathias and Deacon Roy Gomez for their spiritual support. In addition, a very special thanks to Terry, Janie, Lupe, Louis, David, and Terry Ann for their unwavering daily loving support throughout all those final days.
Serving as pallbearers are David Guerrero, Gabriel Estrada, Luis Rafael Cuevas, JG Gomez, Andrew Guerrero, Jacob Estrada, Jerry Caballero and Joe David Martinez.
Honorary Pallbearers are SPC Johnathan L. Casarez, Frank G. Estrada and Gilbert Martinez.
There will always be a special place in our hearts for our beautiful and beloved Mom. We take comfort that she is now at peace with our Heavenly Father and in union with her departed family.
