Darrel Wayne Lowry, 46, resident of Austin, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Darrel was born September 27, 1968, to Delton Lowry and Kathryn Lowry. Darrel attended Crockett High School, graduated and attended Austin Community College for mechanics. Darrel was a good friend to many, a caring son and often would bring breakfast tacos to his mother and sister, he was a dependable person, someone you could call on to be there when you needed him. He was a quiet person, he enjoyed music, eating shrimp from his favorite restaurant Red Lobster, and enjoyed being surrounded by his friends. Darrel was a father and grandfather who loved his children and grandchildren dearly, and did what he could for them. He was especially close with his sister Pamela, together they played video games, and enjoyed being in each others company. Darrel is survived by his parents, Delton Lowry and Kathryn Lowry; daughters, Brianna M. Lowry, Kelly A. Lowry; sister, Pamela Acosta; Niece, Nicole Acosta; Granddaughters, Bianca, Mia, and Chelsea; and his small Chihuahua, Ashley. Darrel will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First Street with Rev. Ella L.
