Our beloved Matilde Marciel, Sr., age 77, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 7, 2001. Mr. Marciel was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years Guadalupe S. Marciel, Sons Ernest Marciel and Raymond Marciel, Sr. Survivors include: Son; Matilde Marciel, Jr. of Austin, Daughters; Irene Marciel Garcia of Reno Nevada and Hope Marciel of Austin. He is also survived by 18 Grandchildren and 31 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.
Recitation of rosary Tuesday, 7:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday 2:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. PASTOR will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
The Marciel family wishes to express their gratitude to the Staff and Doctors at St. Davids Medical Center for the care, love and support given to our father during his illness.
Serving as pallbearers are Ruben Garcia, Jr., Rudy Reyna, Jr., Raymond Marciel, Jr., Danny Marciel, Mike Marciel, Leon Ullrich, Eric Reyna, Matthew Reyna and Jimmie Lopez, Jr..
