Mary Alice Gonzales, age 48, resident of Bastrop passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2000 to be with our heavenly father.?Do not stand on my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep, I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on the ripen grain, I am the gentle Autumn?s rain? Survivors include: Beloved children; Steve Castillo,Jr. and Maria of Austin, Rebecca Almandariz and husband Anastacio of Bastrop, TX., Bernice Rivera and husband Jesus, Noemie Castillo and Gilbert Rendon, both of Austin and Raquel Castillo of Bastrop, Brothers; Benito Juarez, Jr. and wife Marilyn of Macon Georgia, Manuel Lara and wife Mary, Gilbert ?Jojo? Herrera, Jr., Juan Herrera and wife Tommie all of Austin, Sisters; Hope Muniz and husband Frank, Debbie Vega and husband Mike, Elizabeth Santos and husband Mario, Bonnie Flores and husband Sam and Brenda Herrera all of Austin. She is also survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins who will dearly miss her. Prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 7:00pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday 10:00am at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Phil Woods to officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. The Gonzales family wishes to express their gratitude to the St. Davids Medical Center 2nd Floor East Wing staff and Dr. Paul C. Nader for their care, love and support given to our mother during her illness. Serving as pallbearers are members of the family. Honorary pallbearers are her nephews, and eldest grandson.
