Our beloved Gregorio ?George? Mendieta, Jr., age 50, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 16, 2000. Mr. Mendieta was preceeded in death by his parents Gregorio and Juana Mendieta and daughter Esmeralda M. Hernandez. Survivors include: Beloved Wife; Francis Mendieta of Austin, Children; Patricia Mendieta, Alfredo Mendieta and George Mendieta, III all of Austin, Brothers; Vicente Mendieta and Nico Mendieta, Sisters; Petra Botello and Pauline Vasquez all of Austin. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and a host of Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Recitation of rosary Monday 7:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10:00am at St. Julia Catholic Church. Monsignor Lonnie Reyes will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. John Sandbach and Hospice Austin Christophers House for their care and love given to George during his illness.
Serving as pallbearers are members of the family.
