Harry Lupe Delgado 1949-2012 Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Harry L. Delgado, age 63, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Thursday June 14, 2012. He was born in Linton, IN and raised in Waelder, TX. He proudly served in the US Army, in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. In 1973 he married and raised his children. In 2009, he retired after working at Austin Energy for 23 years. He was preceded in death by son Mark Anthony Delgado; mother Adelfina Nunez; grandparents who raised him Pablo Cruz Delgado and Maria De Jesus Delgado. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Mary Helen Delgado; children Jennifer Benavides and husband Robbie, Jessica Guzman and husband John; grandchildren John Anthony Guzman, Christopher Ray Benavides, Brandon James Benavides, Julissa Marie Guzman, Jacob Matthew Guzman; brother John Zapata. Serving as pallbearers will be Robbie Benavides, John Guzman, John Anthony Guzman, John Zapata, Abdon Joe Delgado and John Delgado. Honorary pallbearer will be Darrel Delgado. Visitation for Mr. Delgado will begin at 10:00 a.m. Sunday at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Recitation of rosary 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First St. (South). Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church 2435 Oak Crest. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
