Janie Perez Capuchino November 15, 1931 ? May 19, 2012 Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Saturday, May 19th at the age of 80. She is resting peacefully with our heavenly Father now. She passed away of congestive heart failure due to dialysis and recently suffered a stroke. Mom was born to Leonardo and Maria Perez on November 15, 1931 in Austin, Texas. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Dominic David Capuchino; three sisters, Lupe Herrera, Catherine Flores, Susie Estrada; three brothers, Jose Perez, Arnold Perez and Leon Perez Jr. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gustavo (Buster) Capuchino; her sons: Buster and wife, Lupe; Robert; David and wife, Yolanda; Ray and wife, Diana; her daughter Christina and husband Armando (Tanner) Martinez; one sister, Nellie Tellez, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many loving family members. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Ryan, Robert Jr., Christopher, Jason, Stephanie and Matthew. Mom was a very humble and simple woman who saw the good in everyone. She loved to garden and was very proud of her beautiful roses. She also loved crossword puzzles and the holiday season. She was a stunning and determined woman who did not let obstacles stand in her way. She lived a life of dignity and respect with lessons to be learned: to love God, love your family and love those around you. She will be deeply missed by many, and will be forever in our hearts. We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday and days before that too. We think of you in silence and we often speak your name. All we have are memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake with which we will never part. God has you in His keeping and we have you in our hearts. Visitation will begin today from 10am-5pm at Mission Funeral Home (1615 E. Cesar Chavez) with a rosary to be recited tonight at St. Julia Catholic Church at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held tomorrow, Wednesday May 23rd at St. Julia Catholic Church at 10am. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Thank you family and friends for your support and prayers during this difficult time.
