Yolanda Duran 1938-2012 Yolanda Duran, beloved sister, aunt and friend passed away at the age of 73 with her beloved family and friends by her side. A life- long Austin resident, she graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and retired from the Secretary of State Office. Yolanda was a devoted Longhorn fan. She also was a loving pet owner who loved her cat ?Baby?. She also held a special love for her Catholic faith. Her family and friends will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents Esequiel and Eva Duran. Yolanda is survived by her sisters Elma LaFuente (Richard) and Ina Mahnick (John); brother R. G. ?Rabbit? Duran (Mary); loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and staff at Seton Hospital and the Texas NeuroRehab Center. Recitation of Holy Rosary 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., Friday at St. Ignatius, Martyr Catholic Church 126 West Oltorf. This will conclude services for Ms. Duran.
