Frances G. Ruiz ?Girlfriend? Our Beautiful mother was called home to be with Our Lord while surrounded by her family. She was a loving, kind, and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a friend to all she knew. She was born in Smithville, TX, and as she would say, ?You gotta problem with that?!? She was preceded in death by her parents Isabel and Rosario Gonzales, brothers Vincent and Emil Gonzales, Sr., sister Felice Arocha, and beloved friend, Jesse Anguiano. Frances is survived by the loving father of her children, Pete Ruiz, Sr., her daughter Gloria Valdez and late husband Robert Lee Valdez, Sr., son Pete Ruiz, Jr. and wife Kym, and daughter Gina Lee and husband Michael T. Arocha; grandchildren Robert Lee Valdez, Jr., Nikki, Marshall and Payton Ruiz, and Michael J. and Jeffrey T. Arocha; 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Bezera, her gentle caretaker Pat Orozco, the Chapa and Gonzales Families, Odyssey Hospice, and for everyone?s thoughts and prayers. Pallbearers: Robert L. Valdez, Jr., Michael J., Jeffrey T., Dominic, and Gabriel Arocha, and Marshall Ruiz. Honorary Pallbearers: Isaac Arocha, Payton and Nicholas Ruiz, and Tristen Hoelter. Thursday: Visitation 3pm and Rosary 7pm, Mission Funeral Home. Friday: Mass 10am, Cristo Rey Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
