Emma Macias 1938-2012 Our beloved Emma Macias, age 73, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 22, 2012.
Emma was better known to her family and friends as ?Memo?. She was a loyal Longhorn and Ranger fan. She was a member of the House of Prayer, as where she was known for her delicious rice. Our family wishes to express our thanks and appreciation to the members of the House of Prayer for their love and support.
She was preceded in death by her husband Porfirio Macias Jr.; father Eliopoldo Guerrero; mother Josefa Guerrero; brother Benjamin Guerrero and grandson Michael Ray Macias.
Mrs. Macias is survived by daughter Rebecca Haros (Martin Sr.); son Ernest Macias (Mary); son Luis Macias (Amelia); daughter Rachel Jurado (Steve); brother Eli Guerrero Sr.; sister Delia Guzman; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Haros, Michael Cruz, Adam Jurado, Anthony Haros, Gabriel Jurado and C.P. Macias. Honorary pallbearers will be Martin Haros Jr., Gilbert Macias, David Macias, Steven Eric Jurado and Timothy Jurado.
Formal Visitation 5:00 p.m. ? 7:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Funeral Service 10:00 a.m., Tuesday with Pastor Guerrero officiating at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
