Rachel Sanchez 1938-2012 Our beloved wife and mother Rachel Sanchez, age 73, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 14, 2012.
Mrs. Sanchez survived by her loving husband of 57 years Deacon Romeo Sanchez; children Elsie Saenz (Baldemar) of Corpus Christi,TX., Shirley Sanchez of Austin,TX., Arlene Rodriguez (Robert) of Wesley Chapel, FL., Anna Sanchez (Katrina Pruitt) of Austin, TX.; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings Timothy Gutierrez, Christine Salas and Dora Carreon all of San Antonio, TX.
She was preceded in death by her siblings George and Rudy Trevino, Olivia Chavez and Robert Gutierrez.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Hospice Austin Christopher House for their loving care and support during this difficult time.
Recitation of Holy Rosary 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. (South). Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Friday at San Jose Catholic Church 2435 Oak Crest. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
